ControlSpace® Designer v3.244
Release Notes
This release of ControlSpace Designer includes the following major new feature and function
improvements; most notably support for the new PowerMatch™ amplifier models (PM8250/N,
PM4500/N, and PM4250/N), as well as support for the new Auto-Standby power saving feature added
to the PowerMatch line of products..
SETUP AND INSTALLATION NOTES
This release includes updated firmware for the PM8500/N (v1.250) and ESP-88 (v3.092), and CC-64 (v1.117). No
update to CC-16 firmware is required.
This release of ControlSpace Designer requires Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.5 to be installed for Windows XP and
Windows Vista®, available for download here. Windows 7 includes .NET Framework 3.5 so no additional
installation is required.
NEW FEATURES
1. Support for the new PowerMatch amplifier models
This release adds support for the new PowerMatch™ amplifier models. There are now a total of eight
PowerMatch™ amplifiers supported in ControlSpace Designer; Four available via a network connection and four
available via a USB connection..
While signal processing between networked and USB-only versions of PowerMatch™ amplifier models are
identical, USB versions do not include and Ethernet network connection and may only be configured using their
USB connection.
2. New Auto-Standby power saving feature
The Auto-Standby function detects the presence of an input signal on any available input channel. When Auto-
Standby is active, the absence of and input signal for a specified time period causes the unit to place itself into
Standby.
This function is available in all PowerMatch™ amplifier models.
