The DVX, DGX and NI series Central Controllers use
the VxWorks Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
kernel developed by WindRiver. The RTOS is
embedded and is inaccessible to users or
administrators. The VxWorks RTOS includes task
management, encryption management, and the IP
stack. All of the firmware runs within this RTOS.
